*Preschool / Nursery Manager – New Setting Opening*
*Location:* Lowfield Road, Dartford DA11HD
*Salary:* £24,420.00 - £37,536.00 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
*Job Type:* Full-time, Permanent
*Hours:* 50-57 hours per week, Monday to Friday

*Loyal's Little Kingdom* is an exciting new nursery setting soon to open in [insert area]. We are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring space where children can thrive during their early years. We are now looking for a *committed and experienced Nursery Manager* to play a pivotal role in the *set-up, registration, and launch* of the nursery – and to lead its day-to-day operations once open.
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to help shape a new early years setting from the ground up.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Pre-Opening / Setup Phase:*
* Work closely with the owner to prepare the nursery for opening.
* Lead the Ofsted registration process, including compliance with EYFS and all relevant regulations.
* Support with recruitment and training of nursery staff.
* Assist with developing policies, procedures, and operational plans.
* Set up rooms, resources, and equipment in line with EYFS principles and health & safety standards.
* Help create a warm, engaging, and high-quality learning environment ready for children and families.
*Post-Opening / Operational Phase:*
* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery.
* Ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for all children.
* Lead and manage the staff team, including supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing development.
* Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the local community.
* Monitor and evaluate curriculum delivery, child development, and staff performance.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted and maintain high standards for inspections.
* Manage budgets, occupancy, and administrative duties effectively.
*Requirements*
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
* Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in an Ofsted-registered setting.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.
* Experience with Ofsted inspections and/or registration is highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
