One of our private clients requires an experienced, hands-on domestic couple to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a large private house on a country estate in the Cotswolds. This is a wonderful opportunity for a proactive and discreet couple to join an informal household that values very high standards, consistency, professionalism, and a genuinely well-run home.

The property is a substantial period house set within extensive grounds, forming the family's primary residence, alongside additional homes. The successful couple will work closely with the existing estate and household team to maintain the highest standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Family and guest cooking to a confident, dinner-party standard, with day-to-day meals kept simple, seasonal and family-style
  • Front-of-house service for entertaining, including table laying and service
  • Liaising with the estate manager, gardeners and contractors to ensure smooth coordination across the property
  • Managing household supplies, ensuring stock levels are proactively maintained across all properties
  • Occasional, flexible childcare support, including school runs and babysitting
  • Daily care of the family dogs, including walks, grooming and vet visits
  • Packing, wardrobe management and personal organisation support for the principals, anticipating needs without prompting
  • Driving duties as required

Candidate Profile
  • A genuine domestic couple with proven experience in a similarly high-standard, UHNW private household or yacht
  • One partner with strong chef/front-of-house experience; the other with strong housekeeping/house management skills
  • Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions first time
  • Proactive, discreet, calm and highly organised, comfortable working quietly in the background
  • Genuinely dog-loving and comfortable around children

This is a live-in position, with a self-contained two-bedroom cottage provided on the estate. A car is provided, and pets will be considered. This role offers flexibility around start dates, with placement ideally in position by early autumn.

We appreciate your interest in this role. Please note, due to the high volume of CVs we receive, we are unable to respond to every application.
