*Kiddie Capers Childcare* has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Rusbridge House, a charming and quirky building nestled at the end of Cliffe High Street in Lewes. Surrounded by a beautiful river, a nature reserve, and a local playground, our newest setting offers a truly inspiring environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
*Hours & Pay*
* 40 hours, Monday-Friday (4 or 5 days)
* £14.00-£14.95 per hour
*Job Requirements*
* A minimum of level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
* Experience of working in a childcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
*Job Responsibilities*
* Provide immediate care for every child and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Act as a key person, monitoring and recording children’s progress
* Maintain up-to-date Learning Journeys and individual planning
* Support personal care, hygiene, and mealtimes
* Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
* Follow safeguarding procedures and monitor child wellbeing
* Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced
* Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies
* Encourage free flow play to support independence and confidence
* Participate in training and ongoing professional development
