Role Overview

A warm and welcoming UHNW family based in Monaco is seeking an experienced and nurturing Rota Nanny to care for their delightful 4-year-old daughter. This is a fully staffed household, offering a collaborative and professional working environment where staff are genuinely valued and well looked after.

The family is well known to Quintessential Governess, and we are currently assisting with the recruitment of rota governesses for the child’s 10-year-old sister, who has her own dedicated educational support team. This is a long-term opportunity with a kind and respectful family who genuinely value their staff and foster a positive working environment.

The little girl is described as exceptionally bright, academically minded, and a pleasure to care for. She enjoys learning, completes maths activities daily, and is considered very easy to handle. The family is seeking a nanny who can nurture her natural curiosity, encourage her development through play and learning, and provide a warm and consistent presence during their working rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full care and supervision for a 4-year-old girl
• Support the child’s emotional, social, and developmental milestones
• Organise engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities
• Encourage early learning, school readiness, and a love of learning
• Support daily educational activities, including simple maths and learning exercises
• Prepare breakfast for the child as required
• Manage the child’s daily schedule and accompany her to activities
• Sleep in the same room as the child during working rotations
• Work collaboratively with parents and household staff within a fully staffed residence
• Accompany the family on international travel, primarily within Europe and the USA
• Undertake occasional proxy parenting when required

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Nanny within private households
• Previous rota experience highly desirable • Relevant early years qualifications are essential (Norland, CACHE Level 3, NNEB, Montessori, Degree in Early Childhood Studies, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of ISEB curriculum
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
• Fluent English; French language skills would be a bonus
• Warm, energetic, positive, and engaging personality
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
• Comfortable sharing a bedroom with the child during working rotations
• Confident travelling internationally with families
• Long-term mindset and genuine enjoyment of rota positions
• No driving required
