Accommodation: Live out during working rotation. Private bedroom and bathroom within staff accommodation provided.
Schedule: 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off | 7:00am until the child’s bedtime

Role Overview

A warm and welcoming UHNW family based in Monaco is seeking an experienced and engaging Rota Governess to support the education and overall development of their 10 year old daughter. This is a fully staffed household, offering a collaborative and professional working environment where staff are genuinely valued and well looked after.

The successful candidate will be highly educationally focused, with strong experience supporting children within the IB curriculum and preparing pupils for 11+ examinations. The family is looking for a mature, proactive and energetic Governess who understands the demands and rewards of a rota position and is seeking a long term commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full educational support and guidance for a 10 year old girl
• Support the child's learning within the IB curriculum
• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons, homework support and 11+ preparation
• Foster independence, confidence and strong study habits
• Create a balanced schedule incorporating educational and recreational activities
• Encourage the child’s interests, including singing and creative pursuits
• Prepare breakfast for the child each morning
• Work collaboratively with parents and household staff within a fully staffed residence
• Accompany the family on international travel, primarily within Europe and the USA
• Undertake occasional proxy parenting when required

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Governess
• Previous rota experience highly desirable
• PGCE qualification essential (Primary or Secondary)
• Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum
• Proven 11+ preparation experience
• Fluent English with a clear accent
• Confident supporting a child with mild ADHD
• Warm, outgoing, positive and engaging personality
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently
• Long term mindset and genuine enjoyment of rota positions
• French language skills would be a bonus
• No driving required
