We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and well-being.
* Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and organised environment.
* Drive initiatives that promote children's health, safety, and emotional well-being.
* Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff members and supporting their professional development.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
* Strong communication skills are required to effectively engage with children and parents alike.
* Proven ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and positive atmosphere.
* Leadership experience is an advantage, particularly in guiding less experienced staff or volunteers within the nursery environment.
