Spanish Speaking Rota Nanny (floating between 2yo and 6 month old)

Candidates must be based within the EU and within a comfortable travel distance from Gibraltar.

Location: Gibraltar-based with some international travel

Schedule: 3 weeks on/off, flexible for candidates who prefer 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off – live-in, sharing a room with the child during rotation as required

A fully staffed, formal private household is seeking a warm, polished, and professional Spanish-speaking Rota Nanny to join an established team as a floating nanny supporting two young children aged 6 months and 2 years.

Each child has their own dedicated rota nanny in place, meaning a team of 4 nannies is working on rotation always. This position is for the 5th nanny who will provide extra support in busy periods and cover holidays, sickness etc of the other nannies, thus this nanny is expected to be able to care for either child when required.

This role sits within a well-established team of nannies in a structured UHNW environment. The family places strong value on health, wellbeing, and presentation, and is looking for a nanny who is well presented and naturally embodies a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a mature and experienced nanny who has raised her own children and is confident working within a team. The role requires flexibility, strong judgement, and the ability to seamlessly step in where needed across both children and the wider nanny team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent intuition — knowing when to step in and when to step back, as well as how to gently build rapport with the mother, children, and team of nannies.

Please note that during working rotations, the nanny will be on call 24/7. Accommodation may involve sharing a room with one of the children if the other nannies on duty are unavailable, although a separate room and bathroom is provided to be used as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing attentive, nurturing care for both children (6 months and 2 years)
• Rotating between children depending on the needs of the household
• Providing cover for other nannies during holidays, sickness, or scheduling gaps
• Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities
• Maintaining consistency in routines (feeding, naps, sleep)
• Preparing meals and supporting feeding routines as needed
• Maintaining a calm, structured, and stimulating environment
• Travelling with the family as required
• Keeping nursery areas and belongings organised and well maintained
• Working collaboratively with other nannies and household staff
• Following the family’s preferences and routines with precision

Ideal Candidate:

• Spanish-speaking (fluent; native not essential)
• Has raised her own children (essential)
• 5+ years’ experience in private households, ideally UHNW
• Previous experience in rota roles and fully staffed households
• Naturally well-presented, with a healthy and active lifestyle
• Calm, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent
• Highly organised and dependable
• Strong team player with a supportive and flexible attitude
• Able to step in seamlessly and adapt to changing needs
• Discreet and professional at all times

Requirements:

• EU passport (essential)
• Pediatric First Aid Certificate
• Proven experience in rota roles and fully staffed households
• Excellent, checkable references
• Childcare qualifications are a plus
• Flexibility to travel frequently
• Comfortable working on a live-in rota basis
