At Little Pumpkins Nursery, we provide a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for up to 100 children aged 0–5 years. Our passionate team is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care and education, and we’re looking for an experienced, fun, and creative Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic setting.
*Role Overview:*
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of the children in your care. You will be a key person to a group of children, planning engaging activities tailored to their individual needs and interests, and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Deliver high-quality care and early years education in line with the EYFS framework
* Plan and implement fun, stimulating, and creative activities that support children’s development
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider team
* Maintain accurate records and observations of children's progress
* Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment is maintained at all times
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
* Work effectively as part of a large team in a busy, high-capacity nursery
* Support the nursery in achieving and maintaining high standards (e.g., Ofsted, safeguarding, health & safety)
*Person Specification:*
*Essential:*
* Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
* At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in an early years setting
* A genuine passion for working with young children
* Fun, enthusiastic, and creative approach to early years education
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, flexible, and proactive attitude
*Desirable:*
* Paediatric First Aid certificate
* Experience working in a large nursery setting (50+ places)
* SEN experience or training
