Summary:
Our client is seeking a professional and experienced Rota Nanny to join an established team of four Nannies caring for four children aged 8–15. This is a one-week on/off rota role, working Monday to Sunday, with two Nannies on duty at all times. Flexibility is required during school holidays and periods of travel, when longer days may apply.
The role is a mix of live-in and live-out, depending on the family’s location and schedule. The family is primarily based in London (Richmond and Kensington), with regular use of UK residences at weekends and school holidays, as well as international travel.
Please note when on rota it is alternate nights of live-in and out so you must live nearby
Daily duties:
Supervise and support the children at all times within a busy household
Manage school runs and collections from extracurricular activities
Maintain tidy and organised children’s bedrooms and activity areas
Ensure children’s laundry, uniforms, and personal hygiene are well managed
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support the children’s interests, development, and wellbeing
Oversee homework and educational tasks, supporting academic progress
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Travel with the family during school holidays, including packing and organisation
Plan and manage holiday schedules, balancing education, activities, and downtime
Organise playdates, birthday celebrations, and maintain communication with parent groups
Carry out ad-hoc errands while the children are at school
General duties:
Always prioritise the children’s wellbeing, education, health, and behaviour
Maintain clear, proactive communication with the Principals
Encourage healthy routines, including nutrition, exercise, structure, and limited screen time
Set consistent boundaries, promoting good manners and etiquette
Manage school-related matters, including correspondence, events, exams, tutoring, and activities
Coordinate the children’s calendars, appointments, and schedules in collaboration with the office team
Ensure all appointments and commitments are accurately recorded and kept up to date
Proactively oversee medical and health-related matters, including appointments and prescriptions
Work closely with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements:
Excellent references and proven experience as a Rota Nanny
Fluent English preferred
Strong educational background
Confident driver with a valid licence
Highly organised with strong administrative and IT skills (email, Microsoft Office, digital calendars)
Travel-ready with a valid passport and flexibility for international travel
Adaptable to changing schedules, locations, and extended travel during school holidays
Up-to-date DBS and first aid certification
Experience caring for multiple children aged 8 through to teenagers
Well-presented, physically fit, and energetic
Pet friendly (dogs and rabbits)
Experience and understanding of neurodiversity (ASD / ADHD)
