Salary: £27,000-£30,000 gross per annum
Hours: Live-in, Monday to Friday. Term time: 35 hours per week. School holidays: 41 hours per week. Additional paid hours/babysitting as agreed.

Job Overview:
A warm and caring live-in nanny is sought by a lovely, welcoming family for a permanent role caring for two children (a 2-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy), working mainly sole charge and at times alongside the parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide sole-charge care and work in partnership with the parents when required.
  • Care for the children with kindness, understanding and enthusiasm as part of their daily routine.
  • Get the children ready for the day.
  • Drive the children to and from school, nursery and activities.
  • Prepare a healthy cooked meal before collecting the children.
  • Carry out domestic duties related to the children, including changing bedding weekly.
  • Manage family washing and hang clothes (the cleaner completes the ironing).
  • Keep the children's bedrooms and all children’s areas clean and organised.
  • Take the children to clubs and activities.
  • Supervise and entertain the children with stimulating play.
  • Support homework, dinner and the bath time routine.
  • During school holidays, organise indoor and outdoor age-appropriate activities to support social, physical, intellectual and emotional development.
  • Ensure all environments are safe and the children’s daily needs are met.
  • Tidy up, hoover and clean kitchen floors/surfaces after the children throughout the week.
  • Assist with bath time on occasion if needed.
  • Work alongside a general cleaner who attends the house twice per week.

  • Warm, kind and enthusiastic, with a genuine commitment to children’s daily wellbeing.
  • Confident working sole charge while also collaborating well with parents.
  • Flexible and dependable, including same-day support when children are unwell.
  • Proactive and organised, with a strong grasp of routines and forward planning.
  • Confident driver for school, nursery and activity runs is essential.
  • Able to prepare healthy cooked meals for the children.
  • Happy to support homework, clubs and structured routines.
  • Comfortable maintaining children’s spaces to a high standard.
