LIVE IN NANNY - CROUCH END - URGENT
 
This is a lovely family we have worked with before. Their current nanny has had a great experience living with and working for them and they are keen to find a replacement for her asap
 
Start date 25th March 2026
 
Days and Hours
Regular contracted days and hours in term time will be
Monday - 7.15am to 6.15pm = 11 hours
Tuesday - 7.30am to 8.30am = 1 hour
Wednesday - 7.15am to 9.15am then 11.45am to 6.15pm = 8.5 hours
Thursday - 7.15am to 9.15am then 11.45am to 6.15pm = 8.5 hours
Friday - 7.45am to 9.15am then 11.45 to 3.15pm = 6 hours
Total 35 weekly hours .
The parents usually are available to take over at 6pm giving you 15 minutes to tidy up at the end of the day.
School holidays
 
Contracted days and hours will be
Monday - Monday - 7.15am to 6.15pm = 11 hours
Tuesday - 7.30am to 8.30am = 1 hour
Wednesday - 7.15am to 6.15pm = 11 hours
Thursday - 7.15am to 6.15pm = 11 hours
Friday - 8am to 3pm = 7 hours
Total 41 weekly hours
All school holiday dates will be confirmed at least 6 weeks in advance so both the family and the nanny can plan accordingly.
The extra hours you do will be added to your salary.
- Some weeks you will be required to work until 8.30pm on a Monday evening as Mum will be working and Dad may not always be able to home if he is away with his job.
- The family will at times like some Saturday night babysits but will discuss this on a case by case basis.
Flexibility To provide extended working hours if the children are unwell or cannot attend school / nursery.
 
Outline of duties & responsibilities
- Working sole charge and at times in a team with the parents.
- Caring for the children with kindness, understanding, enthusiasm and being an integral part of the day-to-day routine.
 
Responsibilities will include
- Getting the children ready for the day,
- School / nursery runs
- Driving the children to and from school
- Prior to collecting the children, prepare a healthy cooked meal
- Carrying out domestic duties related to the children which include changing bedding weekly
- Family washing and hanging clothes up - please note the cleaner does the ironing.
- Keeping bedrooms and all children’s areas clean and organised.
- Take to clubs and if necessary, supervise, entertain with stimulating play, support homework, dinner, and bath time routine.
- During holidays, organise indoor and outdoor age-appropriate activities to support social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development.
- Overall, ensure all environments are safe and the children’s daily needs are met.
- Tidy up, hoover and clean kitchen floor and surfaces after children throughout the week.
- On occasion parents may sometimes need help with bath time for the children.
- They have a general cleaner who comes to the house twice each week
 
Your holiday entitlement will be
20 business days and 8 bank/public holidays.
 
Accommodation, meals
- You will be provided with a furnished bedroom, wi-fi and bathroom / shower room.
- Three meals a day which will be included in the family weekly shop
 
Your salary based on the standard 35 hours a week arrangement in term time will be up to £490 gross per week.
In the school holiday weeks when you work 41 hours your pay will be up to £574 gross per week.
