Professional Nanny Position – Worcester Park, Surrey
About the Family

Our client is a busy professional family based in Worcester Park (KT4) seeking an exceptional nanny for their delightful 4.5-year-old daughter. Both parents work in demanding corporate roles, and they're looking for someone who can become a trusted, long-term member of their family.

The Role

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week (8 hours per day), with flexibility for longer days and overtime during school holidays

Salary: £20-22 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Worcester Park (must drive – school run 25 minutes away)

Key Responsibilities

Some morning and afternoon school runs and after-school care for the Reception-age child

Planning and preparing healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks (weekly meal planning in collaboration with parents)

Organising engaging activities: arts and crafts, puzzles, outdoor play, and accompanying the child to activities like swimming

Housekeeping related to the child: nursery tidying, children's laundry, toy organisation, maintain kitchen and dining area's cleanliness after child's mealtimes

Taking initiative in developmental activities and daily routines: support school homework; reading, early years, maths and phonics

Managing grocery shopping and household errands related to the child's needs

Coordinating with parents on scheduling and daily routines

Maintaining organisation of the nursery, playroom, and child's belongings / wardrobe

Restocking children's supplies (toiletries, snacks, craft materials, etc.)

Light meal prep for the family when appropriate

About the Child

The family's daughter is a wonderful, conversational child who loves to chat and engage with the world around her. She has strong opinions but doesn't throw tantrums. She adores arts and crafts, puzzles, and active play. The family operates a no-screen household, so they need someone who is naturally engaging and creative in keeping their daughter entertained and stimulated.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for someone truly passionate about nannying who wants to be in it for the long haul – ideally a minimum commitment of two years. You should be:

Warm and affectionate – the child has grown up with nannies and thrives with caring, loving attention

Energetic and proactive – someone who takes initiative and brings fresh ideas

Patient and engaging – comfortable with a talkative, curious child who needs constant interaction

Confident – able to manage both the child and the household responsibilities independently

Experienced in cooking and meal planning – comfortable preparing healthy, varied meals (homemade popcorn, healthy meatballs, nutritious snacks)

Safe and confident driver with own car with parking available at the property

Committed to professional nannying – the family values someone who sees this as their career, not a stepping stone
