A private family in Saint Petersburg is seeking a qualified Native English or bilingual (English/Russian) governess / private teacher to work with a 9-year-old girl in a family setting.

The role combines language development, educational support, and engaging leisure activities, making it ideal for an experienced governess or private teacher who enjoys interactive, play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general care and supervision during working hours

• Support the child’s overall development in a safe and nurturing environment

• Deliver English language exposure and lessons through conversation, games, and daily activities

• Organise interesting, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities

• Encourage confidence, communication skills, and positive behaviour

• Maintain a professional and communicative relationship with the family

Schedule

• Saturday: 14:30 – 20:30

• Sunday: Schedule to be discussed with the family

Candidate Requirements

• Native-level English or bilingual proficiency (English and Russian)

• Relevant teaching qualification, childcare training, or pedagogical background

• Proven experience working with children around 8–10 years old

• Background in private families, governess roles, or one-to-one teaching preferred

• Professional, positive, reliable, and communicative approach

• Ability to engage a child through educational play and structured activities
