Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to support the daily operations of our early childhood education centre. The successful candidate will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development.
  • Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the nursery.
  • Engage with children through play, storytelling, and educational exercises to foster their growth.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to plan and implement daily routines and programmes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
  • Support management in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and organising resources as needed.
  • Drive company vehicles when required for outings or errands related to nursery activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare management practices.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide and support young children effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Childcare qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
  • Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties.
