Nursery Practitioner - Level 3 - Ottershaw

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Duties

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development in accordance with nursery policies and early childhood education frameworks
• Supervise children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
• Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions and guidance
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to assess children's progress and share insights during team meetings
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's development, behaviour, and daily activities
• Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and planning activities
• Drive company vehicles as required for nursery outings or related activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate colleagues and support team development
• Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies
• A caring attitude, patience, organisational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this role
