Position: Live-in, Part-time Domestic Couple

Location: St George's Hill, Surrey
Salary: £60,000 per annum (based on 24 hours each per week)
Start Date: May–June 2026
Hours: Part-time, Monday–Friday (3 x 8-hour days)

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, versatile, and experienced Domestic Couple to support a retired couple in their beautiful St George’s Hill home. This is a unique part-time position encompassing house management, light gardening, and handyman duties, including driving and airport transfers.

The principals are extremely welcoming, respectful, and value a close working relationship with their staff. There is no other staff in the residence, offering a warm and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

  • General cleaning and tidying of the property
  • Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care
  • Maintaining a well-ordered household
  • Preparing meals for the principals’ return from trips (no other cooking required)
  • Preparing the house for the principals’ arrival, including stocking the fridge and other essentials
  • Organising household supplies and deliveries

Gardening / Handyman Duties:

  • General garden maintenance and upkeep
  • Minor repairs and DIY tasks around the property
  • Occasional deep cleaning and maintenance projects
  • Driving duties, including airport runs and local errands

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on approach
  • Willingness to live on-site in a self-contained annexe (2 bedrooms, separate entrance, large outdoor space)
  • Excellent written and verified references
  • A Couple who has interests/hobbies would be desirable
  • Flexibility to work the very occasional weekend

Other Information:

  • The principals spend approximately six months of the year travelling, with varying durations
  • No smokers
  • A Couple with young children will be considered
  • A Couple with a small pet will be considered

Accommodation:

  • A separate 2-bedroom annexe which has been recently refurbished
  • Own entrance
  • Consisting of large living room, kitchen/dining area, shower/bathroom, large outdoor space
