Los Angeles plus 2 months every summer in London, UK

Competitive market rate based on experience and qualifications

Monday to Friday

Guaranteed 40 hours and up to 60 hours per week between 7:30am to 8pm depending on the schedule you are on

3 children, ages 7, 4 and 2 years old

We are looking for a switched-on, loyal, and child led, dedicated Nanny/PA to join an amazing holistic high-profile family who live in Los Angeles but also spend some time each summer in London, UK. The family are looking for someone to join their team and family on a long-term basis who is fully committed, patient and hungry to learn and growing in their career. For candidates not based in the US, they can organise a visa so this should not be a barrier.

Our clients have three wonderful children ages 7, 4 and 2 years old and the role will involve working in a team with the mum, who is very hands on, her PA/assistants, another nanny and the housekeepers. Your responsibility would be more focussed on the older two children after school hours but at times you may be responsible for the youngest child as both nannies will work in a team and sometimes alternate. Whilst the children are at school. The role will involve managing all aspects related to the children and family admin, running errands, cooking creative healthy, fresh meals for the children, general organisation and planning.

The family is looking for a child led nanny who has a Steiner, Waldorf holistic approach or who is open and willing to learn and get additional training. It is essential you are passionate about working in a positive way with children providing them with opportunities to learn and grow through learning experiences. They follow a gentler parenting approach with natural consequences and like to talk and explain everything to the children rather than have any strict rules or discipline.

The ideal candidate will be totally focussed on the children and with a positive, proactive, gentle, engaging, and imaginative approach. Both parents work flexibly and often from home, so they want someone who confident to take complete sole charge, take their own initiative and have excellent communication skills to work with the members of the household. The parents love to be involved as much as they can when they are not working but they need lots of flexibility as their working hours can sometimes vary.

It is essential you are honest, kind, driven and hardworking, safety conscious and trustworthy. Successful applicants must be happy to live in LA as well as travel when the family require this and to spend around 2 months in London each summer. You also need to speak a fluent level of English, be able to swim, and a driver is essential.

  • Childcare Responsibilities

     

Provide attentive and nurturing care for the children, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and happiness

Manage daily routines including school drop-offs, pick-ups, after-school activities. 

Organise engaging activities (educational, creative, and active) appropriate to age and interests

Support with, reading, and projects where appropriate

Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the children

Assist with bedtime routines when required

Keep children’s areas tidy, including playroom, bedrooms, and school supplies

Communicate effectively with parents and teachers, keeping track of schedules, events, and school requirements

 

 

  • PA & Household Responsibilities

Manage children’s school diaries, events, and extracurricular schedules

Ensure the family is updated at all times regarding school dates, activities, and important events

Assist with family calendar planning, including appointments, travel, and household commitments

Liaise with schools, clubs, activity providers, and household staff

Run errands such as grocery shopping, returns, and dry cleaning

Organise and liaise with contractors for household maintenance and services (e.g., repairs, gardeners, car washes)

Oversee household organisation, ensuring supplies are stocked and items are prepared ahead of time

Prepare and finalise weekly menus for the children, including school lunches and meals at home

Manage children’s wardrobe 

Coordinate party planning, gifts, and special events

Provide occasional support with family travel arrangements & travel with the family 

Ensure the household is running as smoothly and efficiently as possible
