Salary: £38,000–£46,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
A professional and quietly-run household in Surrey is looking for an experienced live-in Housekeeper/Cook to support the day-to-day running of a large family home. The principal lives alone during the week, with his two school-age daughters staying on the weekends. He’s seeking someone dependable, discreet and organised — someone who enjoys creating a well-kept, warm home environment.

This is a varied role involving housekeeping, cooking, and general household support. The property is a five-bedroom home set over three floors, so you'll need to be confident working independently in a large house. A driver with their own car is essential, as you’ll be running errands and occasionally helping with school runs.

Role Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include full housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, laundry and wardrobe management, as well as preparing daily meals (typically breakfast and evening supper), with a focus on fresh, healthy cooking. The principal values a calm and structured home, and you’ll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly.

The role also includes household organisation, scheduling, and liaising with contractors. There is the opportunity to support the principal with light admin or EA-style tasks if you have relevant experience or interest in this area.

The family also has a property in Spain, used for a few weeks during the summer. There is an opportunity to travel with the principal to assist with housekeeping and cooking while he is there.

• Holds a full UK driving licence and has own vehicle 
• Comfortable around children and happy to help with occasional childcare
