Lead 3PK Teacher

£17.10 hourly

Job Description

*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*

The teacher assumes responsibility for the children, activities and supervision of the program.

· Develop and implement age and developmentally appropriate plans/activities for the classroom.

· Keep children safe, clean, groomed and tend to any injuries or accidents. Use hygienic care routines.

· Arrange and maintain all indoor and outdoor program spaces.

· Post and keep current all required and necessary information- lesson plans, emergency information, parent information, classroom information, schedules, etc.

· Maintain current records for the children.

· Maintain emergency bag and report any and all injuries to director and families.

· Maintain program management- diversion, redirections, clear rules and routines, communication with children and parents.

· Work with children based on interest, ability, social skills, age development.

· Actively surprise all children and adults within the program.

· Perform daily classroom cleaning/sanitizing/etc.

· Assume responsibility for all routines and management within the classroom.

· Greet each child and family daily. Have open discussions to share information.

· Fill out all necessary and required paperwork.

· Attend any professional meetings with the school (CPSE, required meetings, etc.).

· Obtain and maintain First-Aid, CPR certification

· Actively schedule and participate in staff meetings, staff development and staff trainings

· Manage, coordinate and make decisions proactively and efficiently.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on results- can prioritize assignments with attention to detail and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Exhibit poise, clarity and self-control in stressful, ambiguous or emotionally demanding situations

· Respond appropriately to an emergency or crisis situation

· Work independently and takes initiative.

· Excellent knowledge of processes, procedures and policies relating to Early Childhood Development and Early Learning Guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.10 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
