On behalf of a lovely family who are looking for an experienced, professional, gentle and caring nanny, to care for their two young children - boy (4) and girl (2). The nanny would be expected to have a good understanding and experience of working with children of a similar age.  Both children are happy and healthy and in good routines.  The family are looking for a nanny who shares an empathetic, infant-led approach to childcare; is energetic, active and who enjoys exploring nature and the great outdoors is essential.  Ideally, the family would also like a nanny who has a love of food as the children’s enjoyment of food and nutrition is important to them.  The little boy attends nursery 5 mornings per week, with the little girls starting nursery after Easter. The family are happy for the children to attend other groups / classes.  In addition, they would like the nanny to organise age and stage related activities for the children. The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care and the nanny has responsibility for normal nursery duties (including cooking for the children. 

The family are currently based in London but spend some time (especially weekends and nursery holidays) in Oxfordshire.  The family enjoy travelling for holidays and business and would require a nanny who is happy to do this. This holiday travel would require some cover at weekends and babysitting. A progressive outlook on childcare and a willingness to work collaboratively with the family as part of a team is essential.

Days of work: Monday-Friday

Hours: 8.00-7.00 with some flexibility

Responsibilities and duties:

Provide warm, gentle, compassionate care for two children following an empathetic, infant-led approach.
Support the children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs through age-appropriate, engaging, and stimulating activities.
Plan and organise daily age- and stage-related activities, both at home and within the community.
Take the children to and from nursery
Escort the children to suitable groups, classes, playdates, and outings.
Encourage exploration of nature and the outdoors through walks, outdoor play, and nature-based learning.
Promote curiosity, independence, and creativity in line with the family’s parenting philosophy.
No pet duties are required but family do have a dog. 
Confident driver to take children to school, nursery and activities
 

Accommodation – If required in London the accommodation will comprise an apartment in the basement of the house with a separate entrance and there is a separate annex accommodation in the countryside.
