A Nursery Practitioner provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children (birth to 5) by planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, supporting their holistic development (social, emotional, physical, cognitive), observing progress, maintaining hygiene, communicating with parents, and adhering to safeguarding and health & safety standards, essentially ensuring children's well-being and early learning in line with frameworks like the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Safety: Provide high standards of care, hygiene, feeding, changing, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
Education & Development: Plan and implement play-based learning activities (literacy, numeracy, physical skills) and support individual needs, following frameworks like the EYFS.
Observation & Assessment: Observe children's progress, record development, and share insights with parents and colleagues.
Parental Partnership: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's development and progress.
Environment: Prepare and maintain clean, organized indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Teamwork & Compliance: Work collaboratively with staff, adhere to nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols, and sometimes deputise for managers. 
Core Skills & Duties:
Activity Planning: Organizing stories, songs, games, and creative play.
Physical Care: Assisting with meals, naps, and personal care.
Behaviour Management: Managing behavior to support a positive learning atmosphere.
Special Needs: Supporting children with specific learning or developmental needs.
Flexibility: Undertaking various duties like cleaning and supporting other staff.
