We are looking for a live-out nanny for a family of four – The right person can fully meet the developmental and care needs of children and the support family's life dynamic as parents require. What they offer: - They are happy to commit to a salary of up to £16/hour net - They are happy to commit to a minimum of 30 hours/week engagement. Happy to discuss a higher weekly commitment of hours for the right candidate. - The boy is already going to the nursery and the girl will start the latest in April 2021. They will do at least half a day of nursery whenever not on vacation or sick, which means that it’s not a heavy-duty job at all times, but parents want a high-quality performance when the nanny is spending time with the children. - They offer 4 weeks off paid, but they need a good amount of flexibility on when the 4 weeks will take place. - Both children have a lifetime membership at Cloud Twelve, a children club right behind the family's house in Noting Hill, which is an amazing place to keep the kids engaged in a rainy afternoon. What they are looking for: - Having a very positive personality and being a loving and caring person hopefully goes without saying. - Proven track record and top-notch credentials in child development- former teacher in a selective nursery or similar. Parents read about child development a lot and they are demanding at this point. - Contactable references - parents will certainly demand the opportunity to talk to former employers directly. - Full availability Monday through Friday 7:30 am-7:30 pm. Having availability to work evenings/weekends is good to have but not a must. - A person with an impeccable work ethic. Both parents have very demanding jobs and they need a responsible and trustworthy nanny. - The position is for a live-out nanny but in certain periods of time, we will require extreme time flexibility. They will need the nanny to be available to move into our house and take over the 24/7 sole care for the kids for up to two consecutive weeks at a time (with a reasonable notice from our side). This might occur for up to 3 weeks/year. - Be available to travel with the family for up to 4 weeks/year (could be also consecutive) - It’s very important to assess that the candidate is fully available and comfortable with the two terms above. - For the up to 7 weeks/year in total when the nanny will be traveling with the family/living at their place, the payment will be based on a 12-hours per day basis plus food allowance and travel costs covered. 7 weeks is an extreme scenario but they want to set this straight in advance. - Living walking distance from W11 is great to have an advantage and they would not consider a nanny who lives more than 30 min commute from Notting Hill. - The nanny should be comfortable with bringing the kids to various classes. Being a decent swimmer is not a must but it’s good to have. - Driver and/or car is not a must, but it’s another good to have. - Excellent English is important, but if there is a strong candidate that ticks all other boxes, they can settle for good English. - Being someone who knows how to prepare healthy and tasty children meals is important although not an absolute must.
