Role – more detail
During school term times, the role will be mainly to provide care for the baby and general nursery duties. There will be some care of both of the older two children when they return home from school, and this will include preparing healthy and balanced meals (and cleaning away after meals) for all the children.
During school holidays, the care will be more even across all three children, including organising fun and educational activities. The nanny would be required to keep the playroom and children’s bedrooms tidy, but the nanny is not required to do any laundry, or any other housekeeping duties. (The family employ a full-time housekeeper and gardener.)
An experienced and confident driver is essential, with full driving license. The family car would be provided for transport of the children.
The nanny would be required to go on some (but not all) holidays with the family. These will generally be within the UK or Europe. The successful candidate will be offered 28 days holiday a year to include the 8 UK bank holidays where applicable.
The family have two friendly dogs, a Miniature Sausage dog (Dachshund) and a Cocker Spaniel. The nanny is not required to walk the dogs, or otherwise look after the dogs.
