We are pleased to be working with a loving family in Kingston, to find a Weekend Sennie for their two children G5 (ASD and ADHD) and B3. Their lovely home has easy access to Richmond park, Kingston shopping centre and the River Thames. They also have a son who is 3 years old, but main care will be for their daughter as he attends nursery full time.

About G5:

G5 is a loving, cuddly and affectionate little girl who has been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and attends a private SEN school. We are looking for an experienced Sennie who has at least 3+ years of working 1:1 with a young child with Autism and ADHD. She interacts with people very well however finds it hard to focus and keep attention on one thing at a time. She is active and has a tendency to run off at times so it is important the chosen Sennie is physically fit and active who can keep both children safe.

G5 children enjoy swimming, dancing, music and being active. As a family they are actively trying to improve: toileting, meal times, both of the children's use of speech and language and communication skills.

The chosen Sennie will be able to cook healthy meals, ensuring G5 sticks to a gluten free diet. This Sennie role does not involve housework, however you are expected to clean up after yourself and the children following dinner or an activity where possible.

We are looking for a Sennie who is great at creating engaging activities who can help G5 build upon independence. Understanding how to read signals and understanding G5’s triggers, in order to pre-empt and avoid challenging behaviours is extremely important.

In summary - the family are looking for a proactive and passionate Sennie who can provide fantastic support for G5. The Sennie selected will be able to follow and support therapies and interventions determined by the family and professionals. A genuine interest in working with SEN children is a must.

If you meet the above criteria and are looking to find a new wonderful and rewarding position - please fill out our online application form and quote REF 0043
