A family in Eggington are looking for a caring and professional nanny to care for their 19 month old son. The family live in a cottage in the village which is fairly remote and so a driver will be needed in order to get out and about.
The little boy has a rare genetic condition which affects his ability to process proteins and it is extremely important for him to follow a strict diet in order to control the condition in order that he does not fall ill. His parents will ensure a detailed list of the food he is to be given each day is available to the nanny and he will need to be given dietary supplements twice a day.
If he becomes ill the condition can cause the little boy to become very ill and so maintaining the boy’s health on a day to day basis is very important. The nanny will need to consider this when planning which activities to attend with him. The parents fully understand the need to support the nanny with learning what activities are suitable, especially during the first few months.
The main responsibility of the role is very much caring for the little boy, providing him with fun, entertaining activities. There could be a small amount of housekeeping such as loading/unloading the washing machine/dishwasher. The family also employ a cleaner and so the only cleaning duties required will be to clean up after any activities that have been carried out.
This would be a lovely role for a caring nanny who loves to build a close, understanding relationship with the children they care for.
