A family residing in Brussels, Belgium is seeking a qualified, experienced and mature live-in Nanny for the care and development of their two children, girl aged 6 and baby boy aged 6 months.
The ideal candidate will have a joyful disposition, be energetic yet be able to assist the parents with setting consistent boundaries with the children. The nanny should have experience caring and educating babies up to school aged children and be comfortable arranging age appropriate activities whereby the children can learn English in a fun, natural and engaging environment. Their daughter loves to swim, play outdoors, read books and do arts and crafts. They family is kind and very much wish for the nanny to integrate as a part of the family over time as they have mutual trust and understanding. The family travels frequently throughout the year and would require the nanny to travel with them. A candidate that is willing to relocate to Belgium for at least a year is preferred.
The main responsibility during the week will be with the baby boy, which will be a combination of shared and sole charge with the mother and housekeeper. Their daughter usually leaves for school at 7.30am and returns after 4pm. Childcare related duties shall be required, such as the children’s laundry, keeping their playroom tidy, assisting with their routine including hygiene, assisting with making healthy meals and light snacks from time to time.
The working schedule is 8-10 hours daily, 5 days per week. The proposed schedule shall be Tuesday – Saturday, however this may differ from time to time. Should the family travel during the weekends, another day off during the week or overtime payment may be offered. If the candidate is a confident driver, a car can be available for her to drive. The family live nearby to the metro, shops and entertainment, yet they are also close to nature which would be ideal for someone that enjoys taking long walks.
A double en-suite bedroom is offered with WiFi and television as well as separate room whilst travelling.
The salary on offer is from £800 per week and the family would like to trial the candidate before signing a contract. They are ready to start interviews immediately however are willing to take their time to ensure they find the right candidate for their family.
