Chinese Tutor/Governess in Almaty, Kazakhstan

A HNW family in Almaty are seeking a Native Chinese teacher for their 2 daughters aged 7 and 10, working 5-6 days per week for 3-5 hours per day. The house is fully staffed.

Both children currently attend school Monday - Friday and the schedule is likely to include Saturdays, potentially with Mondays off. The family travel regularly and would therefore need someone who can be flexible to their schedule and willing to travel. Hours whilst travelling can be more intensive. 

Both girls are near-Native level Chinese speakers already and the aim is to continue their progress. The current tutor has been in the position for 4 years and is only leaving due to starting her own family. The children will have both completed Chinese first grade by the start date of the position and the aim is to continue on to 2nd grade reading & writing. 

Both girls can speak fluently and can read fluently in Pinyin and Hanzi to 1st grade level.

The tutor must have a good level of English, for travel purposes and in order to be able to communicate with the parents. 

The client is looking for a positive, patient, flexible, experienced individual with a strong academic background. 

• Salary: 5000-7000 USD per month - negotiable based on the candidate
