A lovely family in Clapham are seeking a daily afternoon Educational  Nanny They are looking for someone who loves working with children and is passionate supporting their learning and development, working collaboratively with the parents on a shared charge basis. The family have recently moved to the UK from Switzerland and need help adjusting the girls from the Swiss / French to British curriculum. They speak fluent English.

Salary: £22 – 25 gross per hour (£18,304 – 20,800 gross per annum for 16 hours per week)

A background in education is what we are looking for, someone fun and able to engage with the girls in terms of usual nanny duties as well as actively help with bringing them on and achieving their goals. You are not needed to travel with the family and there are no housekeeping duties. The children will require school  pick up which is a short walk from the home.  The role will be over 3 days, 2 shorter and one longer which will also involve babysitting.

General duties:

• All childcare duties
• Preparing snacks and occasional light meals for the children
• School pick up ( 5 minute walk)
• Support age-appropriate activities to encourage development.
• Actively engage with the children, assist with homework and make sure they are on top of everything to do with school.
• Overseeing bed and bath routine one evening .

Candidate requirements:

• education background
• Must have teaching or teaching assistance experience
• Excellent English skills to help with speech and homework.
• Experience with children of similar age
• Passionate about child-development.
• Firm but fun and a good role model for the children
• Happy, kind and relaxed personality who will make the role their own
• A childcare degree is preferred but a childcare degree or teacher /assistant degree from another country will also be considered.

DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
