Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group lessons in American Sign Language
• Create personalized lesson plans based on each student’s level and learning goals
• Teach ASL grammar, vocabulary, and proper signing techniques
• Offer guidance on deaf culture and ASL etiquette
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Schedule lessons based on student availability

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience teaching ASL (formal or informal)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles
• Patience and passion for helping students succeed
• Reliable transportation for in-person lessons
