Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our small educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students to provide personalized instruction, support, and guidance in various subjects. The Tutor will be responsible for creating engaging lessons and utilizing effective teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes. This position is targeted towards supporting K-5 subjects, though 6-8 is also acceptable.

Sessions are held in client homes/libraries in the Northshore and Everett SD areas and online. This is a W-2 position, and we manage your schedule and provide you with the tools you need to succeed. All you have to do is plan your lessons, teach them, and update clients on student progress. We take care of the rest.

Duties
- Develop and implement individualized lessons tailored to each student's needs and learning style, assigning homework as needed.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in subjects such as math, science, reading, and writing. Limited subject ability is acceptable--you don't need to know how to teach everything!
- Utilize provided learning technology and educational resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
- Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
- Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing appropriate resources.
- Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

Requirements

- minimum 19 years old
- 1 year minimum experience in tutoring or teaching.
- A reliable vehicle, valid license, and smart phone
- Familiarity with learning technology tools that support educational activities, or willingness to learn them.
- Background in special education is highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students and parents.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and success.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
