  • ESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborates with College faculty and staff to formulate intervention strategies for students academically at-risk and/or in need of supplementary academic support.
    Manages the Accountability Center, serving as the point of contact for the program (marketing, running of reports, etc.)
    Reviews the effectiveness of the tutoring program annually, and works with the Director of the LRC to improve the lab’s mission, function, and service.
    Creates, executes, and maintains CRLA International Tutor Training Program Level 1 Certification in coordination with the Director of the LRC.
    Conducts continuing education workshops to support CRLA Certification.
    Trains and manages a portion of the student tutors to be determined by the Director of the LRC. The tutoring work is under the supervision of the Director of the Learning Resource Center, in consultation with the Deans/Chairs of the appropriate programs.
    Recruits students to be LRC tutors.
    Coordinates observations and evaluations of LRC student employees with Director of the LRC.
    Utilizes the Learning Resource Center’s TracCloud software to schedule tutors’ hours, track student visits, communicate the content of students’ visits to their instructors, monitor usage trends, and create reports.
    Uses information and data derived from TracCloud to adjust services within the LRC, in coordination with the Director of the LRC.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Director of the Learning Resource Center.

  • UALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
    At least two years of experience in an academic environment.
    Ability to understand the needs of people from diverse backgrounds.
    Ability to collaborate and build relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Master of Arts in a related field.
  • Experience in tutoring training curriculum or similar.
