IN-PERSON Science Tutors Needed in Van Nuys, CA

Looking for 1:1 in-person tutors in the Van Nuys area for private students interested in STEM. Applicants must be open to traveling to the student's home or local library. Please be able to discuss a variety of middle school science topics with our learners.

Typical Schedule:

-Approx 10 hrs per week

-Generally 2:30 to 7 PM, Monday-Friday

-Occasional weekends if requested by clients

Typical clients :

-K-12

-All academic subjects

-ACT or SAT prep

Requirements:

-Previous tutoring experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in their respective homes or closest public library.
• Develop personalized curriculum to meet the learning needs of each student.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance teaching methods and engage students effectively.
• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents and teachers to track student progress and address any concerns.
• Plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.

Pay: Tutors are paid $30 per hour, and are paid weekly via direct deposit.
