ASL (American Sign Language) Instructor/tutor

£25.00 - £30.00 hourly

Job Description

World Speaks is looking for ASL (American Sign Language) instructors/tutors, individuals with flexible schedules (with availability during the week) to provide one-on-one tutoring for the ASL language.

We are looking for passionate individuals with teaching experience to

lead our ASL language courses and private tutoring program. Candidates must have

experience teaching groups of adults in-person and virtually, be able to create dynamic

pre-plan lessons (following curriculum), and connect with students in different stages of

their language journey.

Nature of the job:

On-call contractors (courses last for 10 consecutive weeks)

Minimum 3 months commitment.

Requirements:

- High School GED or Equivalent.

- Certification to teach ASL(American Sign Language) or 1+ years of teaching experience in formal settings.

- Be able to manage Zoom platform, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office programs.

- Flexible schedule.

- in-person (Omaha, NE) and virtual

- Available during Spring/Summer/Fall 2025 (evenings)
