  • Salary: pa, gross, £50,000 - £50,000
  • Job Pay Interval: Weekly
  • Children: 4-year-old boy, 2 years old girl
  • Contract Length: Permanent
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday 7am-6pm

Job Summary:  This lovely family are looking for a live-in nanny as mum is planning on going back to work. They are looking for a confident, kind nanny who has experience /understanding working with Autism. The family have 2 children a delightful 2-year-old who will be in Nursery starting September in the mornings and an adorable 4-year-old who has Autism, He is in a mainstream school but is non-verbal, he has speech therapy and uses an iPad to help with his communication currently. Most of the care will be for their daughter during the day; however, it is very important that you are comfortable with taking care of both children especially in the holidays. A driver is required and some travel on family holidays would be preferred. The family also have a miniature dachshund.

 

Accommodation: Own bedroom, bathroom and separate living room

 

General duties:

  • Mostly sole charge care of both children – the parents will help take their son to therapy and assist with school runs.
  • Nursery runs
  • Planning and attending classes, playgroups and play dates.
  • Working on age-appropriate development of their daughter
  • Help with the boy – he is being potty trained.
  • Preparing meals and snacks

 

Candidate requirements:

The family are looking for a loving, patient nanny. Their son requires patience he is non-verbal but will eventually speak with the help of speech therapy. The family will want the nanny to work in a team and follow through with what is needed to help him. He is a fussy eater and likes what he likes – they have a list of foods that he enjoys. The little girl adores her brother and is easy going. The ideal nanny will be calm, patient and is happy to put in the extra work with their son. The family do have a strong preference for a nanny who has worked with autism but would consider other SEN experienceA confident driver and dog lover are essential.
