Essential Requirements: Previous private house experience, team-player, proactive, dog-friendly, driver.

Required in a glorious formal home in Gloucestershire Set within magnificent grounds including lakeside and wooded walks, walled gardens, orchid & peach houses and working glasshouses.
This is a really fabulous job for a dedicated, proactive, eager to learn with a can-do attitude no task beneath them.

The ideal candidates will be immaculately presented, hard-working, and a self-starter. You will be required to work with other long-term housekeeping staff, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standards, and undertaking all housekeeping duties including cleaning, washing and ironing, opening up the house in the morning, answering telephone calls and turning down of beds in the evening and assisting the lady of the house when she is in residence. Previous experience not essential as all training will be conducted on the property, however it would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and positive approach to work are essential.

You need to be dog friendly as occasionally you may be asked to walk the dogs around this very beautiful estate.

Working hours approx. 45-50 hrs 7am to 1pm and then 5pm to 8pm. Full staff employed, so essential that you are good team players.

Very good accommodation and a negotiable salary based on experience, 2 days free weekly, some weekend working will be required, working on a rota, an average of one weekend off per month.

Must be able to drive, as the location is rural. Ideally have your own car for pleasure, but a pool car is available for any errands or work-related trips.
