Essential Requirements: Previous experience working in a domestic environment, clean driving licence, flexible, strictly Non smoker, current DBS check and good level of English.

Family of four which includes 2 teenage children at boarding school/University, currently using this property as a permanent residence, in the long term it will revert back to being their weekend home.

The position requires a flexible housekeeper who can demonstrate self-sufficiency and autonomy.

The house has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms and is completely refurbished and easy to keep immaculate. The housekeeper should have an eye for detail, be able to provision and manage the household and undertake the day-to-day housekeeping duties. These duties will include doing all laundry including household and bed linen, polishing furniture, silver and brass and steaming of more elaborate clothes dresses suits etc. as and when required.

You will also manage external contractors, deal with suppliers, deal with household expenses and ideally have basic computer skills.

You may be asked to assist the principal with food preparation and possibly some light cooking, but this is not essential. Any entertaining will be for family and friends and on a casual basis.

Security of the property will be part of the role. Gardening contractors are currently employed.

Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Lovely one bedroom (large) self-contained accommodation, two days off per week and use of a car. Sorry no dependent children or pets. (HU1538B)
