Country household requires a Butler to work under the Head Butler and deliver a high level of service for a VIP family living in Gloucestershire.

This post will suit a person looking for his or her first job in private service, preferably ex Buckingham Palace or 5* boutique hotel background, who is willing to work some holidays and weekends when necessary. Superb accommodation provided.

Family are non-smokers who reside in a clean and healthy environment and own several different properties worldwide, although this position is based in the UK. Duties and responsibilities include setting table & serving at meals, being able to clean silver, answer the telephone and take detailed messages, greet guests and/or visitors etc.

You may assist in the care of a gentlemen’s wardrobe. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with housekeepers, chefs and security and be able to report daily activities to the Head Butler and Household Manager.

Flexibility is essential and you must be willing to run various errands. This role is for someone who really wants to learn and grow in this incredibly rewarding position. Attitude is key as all training will be provided once in the position.

The family is well known for their fabulous entertaining and you will assist at special events, including serving and helping in co-coordinating activities for special events. Also, able to ensure that all silver, China, linens and crystal items are clean and ready for events.

You will need to be an immaculately presented, articulate and enthusiastic. Some travel may be required as well. Accommodation provided. Negotiable salary based on experience. Driver essential. (HU4025)
