Live in Nanny (Palm beach, Florida)

Job Summary:  This lovely British mum is looking for a very experienced confident nanny to help with her young children. This will be mostly sole care, but mum is hands on and will be around at times, however its essential you are confident in looking after the children on a sole charge basis. The family are lovely to work for, the staff are very much part of the family and there is always someone around to help if needed.

The family believe in good manners, routines and old-fashioned values and want the children to be independent well behaved and happy. They would also be keen to find a nanny that has an interest in education. A driver is important as its easier to get around and a confident swimmer is required. Due to the location, you must be comfortable living in a warm climate and embrace outdoor living. There are two adorable Labradors who are very much part of the family.

General duties:

• A mix of sole and shared care (this is not a mothers helper position mum is looking for you to take the lead)
• Providing activities and games that will stimulate the development for the babies and be age appropriate for the older daughter.
• Helping with reading and writing with the older child
• Driving the children
• Planning play dates and researching classes.
• Travelling with the family
• Organizing the children’s toys- replacing as the children outgrow them.
• Keeping the children’s areas tidy
• Helping with the children’s meals and snacks

Candidate requirements:

• You must have the right to work in the USA – an American passport or green card.
• Fluent English is required and a bonus for Spanish.
• Good solid experience working with babies and young children. Proven longevity in recent roles is a must.
• A childcare qualification or college degree
• A good team player- gets on with people, happy to work with a mum who is very hands on
• Must love dogs.
• A confident driver and swimmer
• An interest in the early years and education
• Active, enjoys the outdoors and will embrace working in a sunny climate.
• Organised, can adjust to the needs of the children, believes in good manners and structure.
• Flexible to work weekends (not all of them)
• Happy to sign a NDA
