A single principal near Ekenäs, Finland is looking for a live in Housekeeper/Cook to care for his home. This role is live in. Due to location and duties, you must be able to drive - an automatic car will be provided for work use.
Package Offered
£70,000 - £85,000 gross per year depending on experience

Family Background
The principal is looking for a new Housekeeper/Cook to help care for his home and undertake some driving duties. He has a beloved cat, so you must be happy around animals! The 2 storey home is located in stunning rural Finland, and comprises of 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. The principal already employs a cleaner who visits once a week and has a gardener who maintains the grounds.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. Duties include: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, emptying the dishwasher, organising, and generally ensuring that the home is well-presented and cared for. You will also be responsible for the gentleman’s wardrobe management, including laundry and ironing. Our client is immunocompromised, so you must be happy to wear a mask whilst working and be mindful of personal space.
You should be a confident cook and happy to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner daily for the principal. The gentleman enjoys a healthy diet and prefers all food to be cooked from scratch. The housekeeper would also need to go grocery shopping to source all of the ingredients each week.
The successful candidate will be happy to help with the cat as needed, including grooming, bathing, feeding, and playing.
You must be a confident driver and happy to drive the principal to appointments and other engagements. You will also be required to run errands including to the pharmacy, dry cleaners and post offices.
Location/Accommodation
The home is situated near Ekenäs, Finland. This role is live in - a lovely private 1 bedroom house on the grounds will be provided. Due to location and duties, you must be able to drive - an automatic car will be provided for work use.
Days/Hours
Flexibility is key for this role as the principal has a changeable schedule
Generally working 10 hours a day over 5 days each week
Working 2 weekends per month, with some flexibility as agreed in advance
You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu
Languages
You should speak a good level of English or Finnish to communicate with the principal.
Special Skills
You should be an experienced and skilled housekeeper. You should be self-motivated with excellent initiative and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be a confident cook.
