Job Description

A lovely family is seeking a qualified and experienced nanny for the care of their three children B4, G 2.5, G 9 months. They are seeking a kind, pro-active, joyful and confident nanny for the sole charge care of their three children. They have been thrilled with their current nanny who has been with them for some time, she is leaving to go back to her home town and is happy to speak with prospective candidates. This role can be offered as live-in or out, depending on your distance to Oxfordshire. The accommodation should this be required would consist of own bedroom and, small private sitting room and bathroom. They live in a beautiful Georgian house in Horley close to the Cotswolds and surrounding towns, with lots of space and gardens, and say that their relaxed and happy home is very important to them and there is a great nanny network locally and lots of other families with nannies that forms a great friendship group for the children. The family currently employ a Norlander Nanny who would be happy to speak with an any potential candidates. Both parents own their own fashion business together and work in the head office ten minutes away.

The hours required are from Monday – Thursday from 7.30 am – 7pm, therefore it has a nice work life balance for a candidate seeking longer weekends. This is a sole charge role, the parents work close by, and are seeking a candidate who is confident in running the children’s well put together routines, and ensuring fun and educational activities are part of their daily routine. They have a nanny that works part time at the weekends, and besides, perhaps one shift of a few days proxy parenting per year and occasional travel, your working hours and day are set. A car driver is essential, and a car could be provided for nursery duties if needed, at least two years driving experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a confident cook to cook up some batch meals and a little extra for the parents.


All the children are happy, healthy and are in excellent routines and sleep well, they love attending classes and groups and enjoy swimming, gymnastics, ballet, and mud cubs etc. The eldest child attends nursery Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and will start school September 2023, the middle child will be due to start one/two days at nursery after Christmas. The parents are excited to find a happy, kind, professional, positive, and caring nanny to care for their children. It is important to them that the children eat healthy food, enjoy the outdoors and a nanny that encourages a firm but fair approach to discipline. The nanny to assist with either or both the nursery drop offs and picks ups, attend clubs and activities, and organise schedules for the eldest two children, whilst helping with the new-born and beginning age-appropriate classes where needed.

The successful candidate will be offered 33 days holiday a year (pro-rata) to include the 8 UK bank holidays. This role is to start at the beginning/mid-April and the family is ready to start interviewing candidates immediately. The first interview will be over video call, then a meeting and followed by a short trial to ensure both parties feel it is a good fit. The salary on offer is from £40,000 - £55,000 GPA pro rata, depending on experience and qualifications.
