A lovely family of five are looking for experienced Governess/Nanny who can work on weekends and travel with the family. The position is 70% tutoring focused and 20% nannying. They are looking for someone to work Saturday and Sunday including an overnight stay on Saturday. You would also be required to travel with the family on holidays, dates included below (flexibility is required).  The suitable candidate must be team-player, as the family have other staff members. Saturday overnight stay and occasional sole charge

 

General duties:

  • Looking after and playing with 3 children (Most of the times the nanny won’t be looking after all 3 children – just occasionally and only a few hours a day)
  • Going for walk, to the park and taking the children to activities
  • Undertaking some nursery duties – tidying the children’s rooms and toys
  • Proactively helping with homework, educational activities and exam preparation
  • Tidying up after the children’s mealtimes
  • Bed and bath routine
  • Evening babysitting when required
  • Swimming, taking the children to the beach and doing activities when on holiday

 

Times and day:

  • Weekends – Saturday 2.30pm to 7.30pm (plus overnight stay) and Sunday 7am to 7pm
  • Travelling – 8am to 8pm

 

Travelling:

  • 24th March to 18th April
  • 26th May to 4th June
  • 5th to 26th August
  • 10 days during Christmas break (not working on 24th Dec or 25th Dec)
  • 9th to 18th February 2024

 

Accommodation: Bedroom with ensuite bathroom on separate floor in London and own room when travelling

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Must be pet friendly and happy work in a home with dogs – family have a lovely small dog
  • The family are looking for someone who is a fluent English speaker who can support the children with homework. They are also looking for a confident swimmer and driver
  • You must have previous experience working with similar ages, love working with children and be looking for a long-term position
  • Previous or current tutoring or school experience
  • Must be confident supporting children going through the 7+ exams

 

DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
