HYDE PARK + travel: Jan/Feb Start £££+
Returning clients, based in Hyde Park are seeking a new Nanny/Governess to replace their much-loved NSJ nanny, who will be relocating out of London next month. The family therefore require their new nanny in place by early February, when their daughter will be approximately 19-months-old.
This role is for two dads who take a keen interest in raising their daughter and like to be a part of her early life as much as possible, and whenever work commitments allow it. That said, the position will be mainly sole charge but there will be some shared care in the morning and in the evening before bed. The working hours will be 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday for a residential candidate or 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday for daily/live-out.
Our clients are seeking a fun, bright, astute and educationally-focused Nanny/Governess for their gregarious and fiercely independent daughter. She is in a great routine, well-socialised and very advanced for her age – so the family are keen for their new Nanny/Governess to continue any current classes, whilst also introducing other new suitable activities and educational opportunities.
It is very important to the family that their daughter feels comfortable and confident in different environments and that she socialises with children her own age.
With a good understanding of sign language by attending Sing & Sign classes from a young age, their daughter’s communication is advanced. She has also learned to speak German from her outgoing NSJ nanny who exclusively spoke this to her whilst working for the family. Our clients therefore have a strong preference for their new Nanny/Governess to speak another European language fluently (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Italian) to converse with their daughter at all times and to develop her language skills.
The family are looking for someone who will join them on a long-term basis and support their daughter with future milestones and transitions. A driver is preferable (but not essential), as well as great organisational skills and a tidy-as-you-go mentality. Full standard nursery duties are required – including cooking fresh, nutritious meals to ensure a varied and healthy diet.
The family travel approximately 4-6 weeks per year to some gorgeous locations (including Europe, Asia & USA), so the Nanny/Governess must be able to travel and have previous professional experience of travelling with their employers. Occasional weekend ‘UK/Countryside’ travel will be required from time-time, with any upcoming trips discussed in advance and separately remunerated.
Our clients are accepting applications from both Daily & Live-in candidates, and if Live-in, then private accommodation can be supplied in the same apartment block. This would be a self-contained one bed flat (reception space (sofa + TV), large bedroom, kitchen & bathroom) on the lower ground floor of the building, two floors below where the family lives, and with a separate ground floor private street entrance. The reception room is used as a playroom during the week but with lots of storage space available, it can easily transform into a living room for off duty use (evenings and weekends).
