A friendly and professional family based in the Bay Area is seeking a creative, fun-loving, and hands-on rotational nanny/ family assistant to join their team!
Location: San Francisco, CA
Ages of children: 3 and 5 years old
Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
Schedule: Full-time, rotational schedule of 7 days on/7 days off or similar. Candidates can anticipate working 12-14 hours per day while on duty.
Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-110k/year dependent on the candidate’s experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including a health insurance stipend, relocation assistance, and a vehicle for professional use based on candidate needs and the full benefits package.
Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family may be open to providing a housing stipend for the perfect relocation candidate.
This warm, energetic, and easy-going Bay Area family has two active and joyful kids! Their 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter get along great and love to laugh, run, and study the world around them. This family is educationally-minded and has a house full of books that the children often pick up and flip through on their own. Both kids enjoy being independent and like to dress themselves and help with chores around the house such as watering the plants, cooking, and baking.
Creativity and exploration are highly valued in this household and they love to do art projects, talk about how things work, and visit science museums to nurture their curiosity. These dual-career parents hope to encourage their children to become lifelong learners, and multiple languages are spoken in their home, including English, Hebrew, and Chinese. When they have the chance, the family enjoys traveling a couple of times per year and looks forward to bringing a travel-ready nanny with them on any future trips!
This position is ideal for a confident and proactive nanny who will get down on the kids’ level and play with them! A candidate who brings a developmentally-minded approach to the day and proactively researches and implements activities and educational play while supporting the children’s curiosity and exploration will thrive alongside the family. This family is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows initiative, and is a frequent and clear communicator.
A candidate who is a team player and open to both nanny and family assisting duties will be appreciated! Responsibilities include providing a safe environment for the children to grow and thrive, children’s meal prep, child-related tidying, some children’s laundry, bathtime, school drop-off, and pick-up, and driving to activities as needed. When the kids are in school, the family will appreciate support with picking up dry cleaning, family laundry, grocery shopping, as well as planning educational activities, and family meal prep.
While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has travel experience!
3 years of professional childcare experience
Valid driver’s license and passport
Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
