Job Description

Sweet Dutch family requires a sole charge part-time nanny for their three children aged nearly four, nearly two, and a baby born in March 2022.

 

Sweet Dutch family requires a sole charge part-time nanny for their three children aged nearly four, nearly two, and a baby born in March 2022.

 

They live a one-minute walk from the train station it's a great job for a nanny who wants lots of hours in two days especially if you are keen to gain experience working with a baby.

 

There is flexibility on the days and hours ideally you can work two days, Monday and Tuesday from 8 - 6 pm. Wednesday and Thursday would also work. They can also have you work 8 - 8 pm if you need more hours. They can also consider having a nanny for four days if you can commit for a minimum of two years. There are also extra hours available on the weekends if interested.

 

Ideally, you can start at the beginning of August but they can wait until November when the Mum returns to work.

 

The children are sweet, easy-going, and love being outside (it's very important you are happy to be out and about every day). They live close to a large park. They love fruit, the parents want them to eat simple healthy meals. Both of the youngest children nap for three hours in the afternoon this gives you time to prepare food for the family.

 

The nanny has autonomy they are happy for you to lead and organize the days with the children. You need to be reliable, punctual, and confident in setting boundaries. They would love a nanny with a strong character.

 

Part of your duties includes getting the children up, arranging breakfast, taking them to activities, school pick-ups, and cooking for the family. The parents are planning on doing the school drop off and the nanny will pick up the eldest from school. It's a three minutes cycle on the bakfiets.

 

The parents would love the children to attend classes they are happy to help arrange this.

 

There is a home office but the parents also work outside of the house.

 

The current nanny has worked with the family for a long time she is reducing her days to two per week.

 

Duties: Doing the children's laundry isn't required, the focus of this job is caring for the children. They would like the nanny to cook dinner for the family, the Mum orders precut vegetables. She tries to make it as simple and easy as possible for the nanny.

 

Experience and qualifications required: The family is happy to speak with candidates with different levels of experience. The priority is you are happy to commit long-term and confident in having sole charge of three children.

 

Skills required: The current nanny speaks Spanish to the children, they are keen for the children to be exposed to different languages so happy for you to speak in your native language. You need to speak English to communicate with your parents. It's important you are happy to cycle the bakfiets.

 

The family are happy to help with travel costs.

 

Agency requirements: Applicants must have an EU passport or already have a permit or visa for the Netherlands. Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
