Job Description

Lovely family living in the centre of the Pijp requires a nanny for their baby girl born in February 2022. You need to be able to start as close to the 20th of August as possible, for the perfect candidate can wait a few weeks.

 

They are happy to offer between 36 - 45 hours per week. The schedule will be confirmed during the interviews potential Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be long days, and Monday and Friday shorter days. If you are interested in babysitting on an odd evening there is an opportunity.

 

This will be a sole charge role although the Mum will be around on Monday and Friday. They would like someone who can commit for at least a year (they may start with a six-month contract).

 

The baby has a structured daily eating and nap routine which you will need to follow. She naps in her crib and usually sleeps through the night. They are happy for you to attend local classes with the baby. You will need to provide a caring, stimulating environment for the baby.

 

The right nanny for this job follows directions well, and is safety conscious and trustworthy. They are keen you work on encouraging the baby's independence.

 

The mum is laid back, and keen to find a team-playing nanny. However due to her job you need to be extremely reliable and punctual.

 

The family does travel so they may discuss the nanny accompanying them.

 

Duties: There is an adorable 11-year-old Pomeranian dog. It's vital you like dogs and are happy to take him for walks if you and the baby are going out. You will be responsible for all nursery duties, potentially cooking for the baby, unloading the dishwasher and running odd errands. The baby naps well during the day so you will have time for a break alongside the other duties. A nanny proactive about clearing up after themselves and the baby is vital.

 

Experience and qualifications required: The family's focus is on finding a nanny who will will fit well in the household. They are happy to interview with junior and experienced candidates as long as they have experience working with a baby.

 

Skills required: You need to speak fluent English, they would be delighted if you also speak Spanish.

 

The salary will depend on the hours and nanny's experience.

 

Agency requirements: Applicants must have an EU passport or already have a permit or visa for the Netherlands. Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
