Permanent role, 52 weeks of the year
Our clients are looking for a warm and enthusiastic Nanny-Housekeeper to work ideally 5 afternoons per week, although are happy to be flexible and go to 4 afternoons per week. The hours are ideally 1.30pm - 6.30pm, although the clients are happy to be flexible with 1pm - 6pm.
The boys are eager, bright and enthusiastic. Initially the nannying aspect of the role would be primarily for them, outside of school hours and to include taking them to clubs.
Our clients are looking for a hands on, practical and experienced individual who can inspire their children, and foster the kindness and values they have for them. The day to day duties would involve collecting them from school/taking them to after school activities, preparing snacks, supervising homework, playing games, cooking with them and caring for them.
The clients chatty and adventurous daughter is at nursery 4 days/week, and usually with the client on a Friday. She has particular medical needs which are provided for by her parents and her mainstream nursery (without 1 to 1 or additional worker support).
The 4 year old little boy has recently been diagnosed with Autism. He thrives on routine and is excited by new things and experiences. The clients do occasionally use a 'now and next board' to initiate change.
As the children grow, the role will likely include providing nannying (non-medical) care for their daughter in the afternoons, once she starts school. The clients will provide professional training in tube-feeding should the Nanny-Housekeeper wish.
Extra hours may be available in the school holidays, if sought by the candidate.
The clients have a cleaner.
On the housekeeping side of the duties, they are looking for someone who can work independently and flexibly and who understands the pressure on the family. Housekeeping will involve light housework ie. washing and sorting laundry, ironing, hoovering, changing bed linen, cleaning down kitchen after use, and the preparation of snacks for the children and three family meals each week (batch cook meals).
