Full time Nanny

Job Description

A friendly, inclusive family based in Denver, CO is seeking a go-with-flow, warm, supportive nanny/family assistant to support their 8 and 5-year-old children and home!

  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Ages of children: 8 and 5 years old
  • Start Date: As soon as the family finds the perfect fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays from 9am to 6:30pm. A candidate who would prefer 30 hours/week and a ~12-6 schedule Monday-Friday would also be welcome!
  • Compensation and benefits: The family is offering $28-35/hour in addition to benefits including a healthcare policy or stipend, relocation assistance, and PTO resulting in a full compensation package in the $60-75+k/year range for the perfect applicant.
  • Live-in/Live-Out: Live-out.
  • Daily environment:
    • This fun-loving return Adventure Nannies family (and their sweet yet shy cat) forms close bonds both with their immediate and extended family and their caregiver. They look to their nanny/family assistant for advice and guidance and value providing autonomy for them to take charge! The whole family is inspired by their Italian roots, loves to head to the mountains nearly every weekend in the winters, and have a beautiful family motto that includes, “We believe experiences make us richer than things.” Their current nanny/family assistant (an Adventure Nanny!) is transitioning out of the role, and looks forward to supporting the hiring and training of a kind-hearted, supportive nanny/family assistant to fill their shoes!
    • Both their children are bright, outgoing, and always ready for an activity or adventure. Their 5-year-old loves cooking, figuring out how things work, and physical activities and attends pre-K. Their 8-year-old plays piano and loves reading and writing. He has high functioning ASD and ADHD and thrives with a little extra patience and support while he navigates reciprocal communication and self-esteem. Now in the 3rd grade, he has been inspiring his brother to play piano as well!
    • Preparing healthy and very simple meals for the whole family is a valued piece of this role as well; their current nanny/family assistant loves to cook and there’s ample time to do so in the daily schedule while kids are at school.
  • Ideal candidate:
    • This position is ideal for a candidate who is proactive, organized, flexible, who can roll with the punches and values feeling like an integral and empowered piece of the parental team.
    • A candidate excited to take ownership over meal and food planning, including meal planning and grocery shopping, preparing school lunches and health dinners for the boys, preparing family meals as needed (parents primarily stick to a vegetarian/Mediterranean style of eating during the week and enjoy both made-from-scratch and pre-ordered meals)
    • A candidate with the skillset to grow into a family assistant/household manager role! Both parents handle school drop offs in the mornings, and while the children are at school the role will focus on providing household support and assisting projects, such as grocery shopping, errands, ordering household supplies, providing order and structure to household spaces, calendar management, and more.
    • Able to create engaging, fun-filled activities after school and support evening routines.
    • A candidate with a musical touch or knowledge in Italian to motivate the boys to practice piano or the language is a huge plus though not required!
  • Must Haves:
    • At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Recent, applicable experience caring for Pre-K through elementary-aged children
    • Flexible to adjust to varying routines and ready to jump in where needed
    • Organized and proactive
    • Cat friendly!
    • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
