A friendly family of four, who are based in Windsor, West Berkshire, SL3 are looking for a full-time housekeeper to work in their home. This is a live in, live out, or flexi role according to your preference. You must hold a driving licence in order to apply.
£40,000 - £50,000 gross per year depending on overall package
Working Monday to Thursday (4 days) or Monday to Friday (5 days)
Access to a car for work if you do not have one (automatic)
Live in accommodation can be provided as part of the package, or you can live out, or have flexi arrangement.
This busy family have two children, aged 9 and 10. They live in a beautiful five-bedroom property. The mother and father are busy with work and daily life commitments, and their children attend full time school. As with family life, the busy periods for the house are the mornings and evenings, and they are now looking for a new long-term housekeeper who is happy to be fully involved in family life, to help ease the strain on the parents. They have a much loved Cocker Spaniel, so any candidate should be dog friendly. The family travel during school holidays, and the father travels for work regularly. They have a local cleaning company who attend the property once a week to do a deep clean. The family are looking for a long term-term housekeeper to help with housekeeping, occasional childcare and cooking duties.
At the heart of the role, is the support for a busy family, so you should be able to able to blend seamlessly into family life. You should be there to provide support and flexibility for the daily needs of the household and family.
You should be confident with all daily housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is tidy and presentable. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking the groceries and ensuring that the home is tidy, organised, and well presented. You should be confident to take sole charge of the household cleaning, and be happy to run errands and manage the household management of each room.
You should be pet friendly, happy to help with the dog, and also lend a hand with the busy mornings and afternoons when the children return from school. During the holidays you should be flexible to help the parents with childcare, although the children are at the ages of not needing to have complete supervision, if mum needs to pop out then you would help, or even help with school pick up or drop off in the busy periods. You should be willing to get involved in all aspects of family life, to give support and an extra pair of hands when needed. When the father travels, you should be willing to stay overnight (if you do not live in full time) to help mum with extra security and help in the evenings.
You should be happy to cook for the family, cooking light and simple meals for breakfast and dinner. Occasionally you will be asked to cook for the adults at dinner. During the holidays when the parents are busy with the children, then you'll occasionally be asked to make lunch. You should enjoy cooking easy, fresh healthy food for the family.
When the family travel, you’ll take care of the household, ensuring it’s safe and well maintained. The dog goes go a dog sitter, so you won't have to look after the dog, but your work duties will continue to care and look after the household.
The family live in Windsor, West Berkshire, SL3. You can live in, and you will be provided your own bedroom and ensuite, you can live out and you should be able to commute daily (and be happy to do at least 1-2 nights a week overnight), or you can have a flexi arrangement as per your preference.
Working either Monday to Thursday (4 day week) OR Monday to Friday (5 day week)
7:30am - 7:30pm, however the family are flexible for you to have time off during the day if you wish, or work less hours, but the busy times are morning and evening
Overnight/additional hours paid in overtime and agreed in advance
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
You should be looking for a long term role, be an excellent housekeeper and happy to help with the childcare if needed. You should be pet friendly.
