A private family in Cambridge, CB2, Cambridgeshire are looking for a full-time House Manager to join their friendly and welcoming team. This is a live-in role and is initially for a 6 month fixed term contract. Holding a valid driving licence is essential for this role.
£50,000 - £60,000 gross per annum

The family live in Cambridge, CB2, Cambridgeshire. They have a Retriever pet dog so you should be happy to be around animals. They also have a chef and a housekeeper so you should be happy to work as part of a friendly team. They are initially offering a 6-month fixed term contract due to the possibility of the family relocating next year. If they stay in the UK then this role will become permanent.
As a House Manager you will be responsible for arranging internal and external household services /vendors, managing a household budget, keeping supplies stocked, making travel arrangements and preparations, maintaining care of the clients’ valuables, planning, and coordinating special events, running personal errands for the client and household, receiving guests, and answering phones, assisting in proper table setting when required as well as supervising household staff.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing private households, with an eye for details. Social etiquette is also a necessity; therefore, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and understand appropriate practices within private households.
The family has a team of personal assistants, housekeepers, and chefs you will be required to work alongside. Having a good team spirit is essential for this role.
This is a role in Cambridge, CB2, Cambridgeshire. This is a live-in position with a private apartment provided on the family’s grounds.
You will work 5 or 6 days each week depending on the requirements of the family. Hours are usually 10am - 7pm with a break during the day.
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
You should have good experience working as a house manager in a private household.
