A busy family of four, who are based in Radlett, Hertfordshire, WD7 are looking for a full-time housekeeper to work in their home. This is a live in, live out, or flexi role according to your preference.
£38,000 - £45,000 gross per year depending on the overall package
Access to a car for work if you do not have one (automatic)
Live in accommodation can be provided as part of the package, or you can live out, or have flexi arrangement.
This busy family have two children, aged 6 years and 21 months old. The older child is at school and the younger child will be starting nursery soon - likely to go for a few mornings a week. They live in a beautiful large six-bedroom property. The father is busy with work and travels regularly. The mother is hands on with the children, but is also busy with daily life commitments. They have a beloved Golden Retriever, so any candidate should be dog friendly. They currently already hire a part-time housekeeper/nanny who will work alongside the full-time housekeeper. The family are looking for a long term-term housekeeper to help with housekeeping, cooking, and childcare duties.
At the heart of the role, is the support for a busy family, so you should be able to able to blend seamlessly into family life. The busiest periods are in the mornings and evenings, you will need to be there to provide support during these times.
You should be confident with all daily housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is tidy and presentable. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking the groceries and ensuring that the home is tidy, organised, and well presented. You should be confident to take sole charge of the household cleaning if required, and be happy to run errands like going to the post office or dry cleaners.
You should be happy to lend a hand with childcare during the busy mornings and evenings. Duties include getting the children ready for the day, occasionally caring for the youngest child during the day, cooking the children dinner, and helping with the bedtime routine. If you live out, then when the father travels, you may be asked on occasion to stay overnight to help mum with the children. This would be agreed in advance. As the little one is not yet in nursery, you may be asked to lend a hand with them, help out and play with them. Being child friendly is a must!
You should be happy to cook for the family, cooking light and simple meals for breakfast and dinner. You should be pet friendly, happy to help with the dog, feeding and walking as needed. The family travel occasionally, when they do travel, you may have the option to travel with them.
The family live in Radlett, Hertfordshire, WD7. You can live in, and you will be provided your own private self contained annex with 2 bedrooms. Or you can live out and you should be able to commute daily. You can also have a flexi arrangement as per your preference.
Working Monday to Friday, with option to do weekends, or alternative weekends with days off during the week.
7:30am - 7:30pm, however the family are flexible for you to have time off during the day.
Weekly babysitting in the evening, to be agreed in advance.
Additional hours paid in overtime and agreed in advance.
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
You should be looking for a long term role, be an excellent housekeeper and happy to help with the childcare if needed. You should be pet friendly. If you have a driving licence, that would be a bonus.
